Pink Lanceleaf Coreopsis - Coreopsis rosea (latin)

Properties and uses:
Pink Coreopsis ‘American Dream’ is a must-have perennial renowned for its exceptional generosity. From early summer, it is covered with a multitude of small purplish-pink flowers with yellow centers, forming a true carpet of blooms in your garden until the first frosts. Its fine, feathery foliage forms a dense and airy clump that requires almost no maintenance.

  • Continuous flowering: Blooms continuously from June to October for a colorful garden all summer long.
  • Preference for moist to wet soils: Unlike more classic yellow coreopsis (Coreopsis verticillata or Coreopsis lanceolata), this variety fears drought and thrives in consistently moist, or even wet soil (near ponds or at the back of moist borders).
  • Melliferous plant: Its bright flowers attract a large number of bees, butterflies, and other pollinators.
  • Ideal for bouquets: Its light stems are perfect for creating charming wildflower arrangements..

Care advice:
In mid-summer, after the first main flush of flowers, cut the clump back lightly using shears. This trimming will stimulate new growth and reward you with a second generous bloom in autumn.
