Red flesh Apple tree - Malus domestica red (latin)

Geographic origin: Horticulture
Adult size: Height up to 5 metres.
Foliage: Deciduous.
Type of soil: Any soils, apple trees particularly like heavy, rich and damp soils but not too wet.
Climate: Hardy to -15°C.
Position: Full sun, sheltered from winds.

Properties and uses:
The red-fleshed Apple tree is quite original and hardy and gives fruits which are totally red. Indeed, not only the skin, but also the flesh of the fruit is bright red, like for cherries. The crunchy flesh is also sweet and juicy. The tree produces fruits from August to September. This apple is well-known for its antioxidants.
Apple trees need a pollinator from a different variety in order to bear fruits. The Apple tree Perpetu® 'Evereste' is a worldwide pollinator.
