Hybrid Rhododendron 'Nova Zembla' - Rhododendron 'Nova Zembla' (latin)

Adult sizes: Height up to 1.5 m, spread up to 1.5 m.
Foliage: Evergreen.
Type of soil: Sensitive to chalky soil and excessively wet soils. Bring in some heath peat to avoid a too compacted soil.
Climate: Hardy to -20°C.
Site: Partial shade.


Characteristics and uses:
The hybrid Rhododendron 'Nova Zembla' is a magnificent Rhododendron with crimson-red flowers from April-May. Grow it in acid soil or heath peat planted with Azaleas, Japanese' Maples, Camellias… It can also be grown in a big tub on a terrace or a balcony.
