Properties and uses:
The French Marigold is a good ally in the garden and the vegetable garden. It generally flowers in June and throughout summer, with different shades of yellow, orange and red. The flowers are attractive to useful pollinators and to auxiliary insects such as Ladybugs, which are the natural enemy of aphids. At the same time, they repel some pest of plants. It is recommended to cut the wilted flowers to stimulate the new ones.
The French Marigold is often used in companion planting for tomato. It is an easily grown and decorative flower for flowerbeds, borders, pots, and planters.
