The common lilac is an upright shrub essential in any garden. The common lilac blossoms in April and May with extremely fragrant long panicles of double flowers, purple blossom. The flowers are magnificent in bouquets. Planted alone, in a group or mixed within a hedge or flowerbed the lilac will easily find a place in your garden.
