Tovelit Hydrangea - Hydrangea macrophylla 'Tovelit' (latin)

Area of origin: China.
Adult Dimensions: Height up to 0.8m, width up to 0.8m (2.6').
Foliage : deciduous.
Soil Type: Wet and well drained. Enrich if too poor. Dislikes lime.
Hardiness: Hardy to -25°C.
Exposure: Semi-shade to full sun.


Properties and uses:
The superb red and purple flowers illuminate the garden from July to September. The compact nature of this hydrangea makes it ideal for planting in containers for balconies and terraces. Hydrangeas are well known for brightening the northern aspect of buildings and can just as well be used under trees, in flowerbeds or mixed groups. Can be used for creating beautiful dried floral arrangements.
