This annual ornamental grass typical of the dunes and sandy areas does not require any looking after and reseeds itself naturally. A plant of Hare’s tail grass forms a clump which has long, fine stems with grassy leaves.
It is topped from May to August with a soft oval spikelet, green to dark purple to start with then turning golden as it reaches maturity.
The Hare’s tail grass gives a feeling of holiday to your garden, softens your flowering beds and also thrives in pots and other containers.
It is frequently used in the composition of dried bouquets.
You only need to adapt the planting density to get a visual effect more or less wild.
