Trumpet shaped Lily Longiflorum

Geographical origin: Northern hemisphere.
Adult dimensions: From 50 to 60 cm.
Foliage: Deciduous.
Type of soil: Moist, rich, free draining and acid to neutral.
Climate: Hardy (You can leave the bulbs in the ground over winter).
Site: Mid-shade to full sun.


Characteristics and uses:
The trumpet shaped Lily Longiflorum bears large and long, pure white flowers from July right through to September.

Lilies like a well worked, enriched soil before plantation.
Plant the bulbs approximately every 60 to 80 cm, buried at a depth of 10 to 15 cm for dwarf varieties, and 15 to 20 cm for tall ones.
Press lightly to eliminate the air pockets that could be in contact with the bulbs' roots.
Then cover the soil with a layer of vegetal mulch to reduce weeds growth.
