Characteristics and uses:
The Hyacinth 'Carnegie' produces grapes of highly fragrant single white flowers, approximately 20cm long.

Hyacinths can be grown in borders, pots or planters outside. Plant them 10 to 15 cm deep and about 15 cm apart. They will flower from March onwards and produce a lovely scent. For the best effect, plant them in large groups.
Let the leaves die down before cutting them.
Hyacinths can also be forced for indoor growing by keeping them in the bottom of a refrigerator for 10 weeks, followed by 4 weeks in a cool dark spot.
