Dry Shelling Bean 'Pactol' - Phaseolus vulgaris (latin)

Improved variety, originally from the famous “Coco de Paimpol” bean.
Hardy, disease resistant and with a high yield.
The pods are straight, yellow veined with purple.
The white beans have an excellent taste and can be eaten fresh or half-dry.


Type of soil: Deep, rich, and well-drained.
Sowing time: From May to June.
Harvest time: From August to September.
Site: Full sun.


Sowing technique:
- Sow every 8 to 10 cm, in rows 3 cm deep and 50 cm apart.
- Cover and pack the soil.


Care:
- Hoe regularly.
- Water generously after the blossoming and keep the soil moist.
- Early sowing is not recommended, as white beans are not cold tolerant.
