Recommended temperature: 18 to 22°C. The plant will die if the temperature falls below 15°C.
Hygrometry: Humid atmosphere.
Site: Full light but protected from direct sunlight.
Geographical origins: Madagascar.
Adult dimensions: Not more than 2.5 metres in a pot, up to 6 metres in its natural environment.

The areca is a magnificent indoor palm. Its long leaves that part from its base add an unbelievable touch of greenery and freshness. In addition, the areca is an air purifying plant that is efficient against formaldehyde, toluene and xylene.

Looking after advice:

The areca enjoys warm spots with plenty of light.
- It also appreciates humidity so do not hesitate to spray its leaves regularly with water.
- Water it regularly during its growing period but do not let the water stagnate or drown the soil.
- In winter let the soil dry out between watering.
