Why choose a living garden ?

The eco garden is not a fashion statement, it is another philosophy that, guarantees you will benefit as far as possible from your immediate environment (your garden) which will be healthier. However, that is not all: an ecological garden will also require less maintenance and be more natural. So overall just good points!

Why choose a living garden ?

A natural balance

The aim of an eco garden is to make the garden as autonomous as possible. It is a question of patience; little by little, you will start to understand how your garden works. For this, you do not need a large garden: whatever size of garden you have even if it is only a balcony or a patio you can still garden in an ecological way! The key to success is to find the natural balance and to intervene as little as possible. In such a way that pests and disease are naturally restrained without disappearing. With ecological gardening, you must accept that your fruits will not always be perfect and your plants pristine. In exchange, you will benefit from a healthy environment and plenty of things to see!

Why choose a living garden ?

A garden where you feel good

Imagine a garden where you really feel at home amongst other living beings, peacefully going about their daily lives: that is what an ecological garden can offer today! By accepting and even searching out wildlife around you, you will find your place alongside other living beings, of which very few are likely to cause you any harm. How can you not feel good in a place like this?

Why choose a living garden ?

A garden that really respects the planet

The ecological garden, where life has its rights offers an ideal refuge for numerous animals and plants which although not rare are in the act of seeing their numbers decline over recent years. There is no need to have a gigantic garden to help everyday biodiversity survive: a simple pot will suffice! By providing a home for the plants and small animals of the locality, you help maintain what is known as the corridors, which allows the genetic intermixing of a particular species (butterflies whose caterpillars feed on clover for example). Better still, you are supporting the delicate chain, which links all living beings.

A healthier garden

When you do not use chemical products to achieve a result, the environment is forcibly healthier. Nevertheless, beware: ecological gardening does not simply mean swapping dangerous products for « green » alternatives. That will only succeed in changing the nature of the product and even a natural product can be dangerous for the user and for his environment. Ecological gardening consists of not seeing problems everywhere and tolerating a number of differences between it and what is seen as the traditional garden, where everything is kept under control. That is why achieving an ecological garden demands patience. It is harder to get the expected result by playing with the forces of nature than fighting against those that you do not like. But let's admit the planet is so beautiful that it is at least worth a try?
