Everything about: Savory

Savory - Satureja hortensis (latin)

Type of soil: Dry and slightly chalky.
Sowing time: April to June.
Harvest time: June to November.
Site: Full sun.

Sow directly in the ground:
In furrows that are 30 to 40 cm apart, spread the seeds out when sowing. Cover with fine soil, firm down and water. Keep the soil moist until they come through. When the plants are 5 to 10cm high, thin them out so that there is a plant every 30cm.

Care:
It is a waste of time to water unless there is a drought. Harvest the ends of the stems as required.
