The Japanese steps allow moving through a green space without walking on the grass. Besides houses entrances or paths, landscape gardeners like to use Japanese steps to create marked out walkways and lead the walkers in a guided tour of the garden.
Installing Japanese steps in the garden it is inviting mineral into it and also the guarantee of creating a unique, aesthetically pleasing garden.
To go through a stretch of water, Japanese steps can take the appearance of logs.

Installation:

Place your Japanese steps in the garden and check that the spacing between each of them is suitable for your step length. It is recommended to space out the centre of 2 steps by 50 to 70 cm. Before setting them up into place, take the time to verify that the ‘path’ created is pleasurable. A setting up in staggered rows can seem prettier but could also be more annoying as we do not walk our legs wide open.

If the Japanese steps are placed onto a lawn, it is recommended to set them up slightly lower than the soil level. This will make mowing the lawn easier around them. Before placing the Japanese steps in situ, put a layer of sand 1 to 2 cm deep in the prepared holes to insure that the paving stones remains stable over time.
