Geographical origin: China.

Adult dimensions: Length of stems up to 25 m.

Foliage: Deciduous.

Type of soil: Rich and moist, preferably deep and well drained.

Hardiness: Hardy to -12°C, do not plant on a wind in an exposed site.

Exposure: Full sun.

Toxicity: All parts of the plant are toxic.

Characteristics and uses:
The wisteria will enchant you with its magnificent fragrant blossoms. The flowers, in bunches of 10 to 30 cm across appear in the spring. When planted against a solid support, it will bring a bucolic touch to your garden, and will pleasantly perfume the air when it blossoms. It is also ideal to cover pergolas.

A quick growing plant, the wisteria will need pruning each year to avoid it getting out of hand.

Wisteria 'Pink Ice' (Wisteria floribunda Pink Ice), flowers in trails of 40 to 60 cm, pink and lightly scented.
