Area of origins : Europe, Asia. Adult dimensions : 35 to 65 cm. Foliage : Deciduous. Soil type : Any. Hardiness : Hardy. Exposure : Partial shade to full sun. Characteristics and uses : Tulip will start flowering from April. Plant the bulbs between October and December, the pointed end facing upwards, 15 cm apart and 15 cm deep. Water just after planting, then regularly through the growing period, preferably in the evening after sunset. Tulips are to be grown in beds, rockeries or in tight clumps to create an area of intense colour. In dry autumns or winters additional watering will be needed to ensure the good rooting of the bulbs and assure a good flowering. www.planfor.co.uk
