This sitting Buddha is meditating. Therefore, he invites us to relax and tempts us into a feeling of well-being. Its generous shape symbolise abundance. We notice that its features have been exaggerated with the elongated shape of its ear-lobes. Finally, Buddha is smiling which denotes an inner well-being.

Historically, the term "Buddha" refers to a person which has reached 'nirvana', the spirit fullness. Its experience and its wisdom have allowed him to reach this spiritual well-being. Numerous statues, of which this statue belongs to, refer to Siddhartha Gautama, known as the founding father of Buddhism.
