Description: Cactus, birds nest

 Birds Nest Cactus - Cacto mammillaria decipiens ssp camptotricha (latin)

Area of origin: Mexico.
Adult Dimensions: Up to 7 cm in diameter.
Soil Type : avoid too much moisture, provide extra drainage if necessary.  Dislikes lime. 
Exposure:  Good sunlight but not burning heat.
Watering: In winter, none summer generously.
Over-wintering: Maintain at temp between 0 and 5°C and avoid environments that are too wet.  Can sometimes tolerate temperatures to -4°C if sheltered.



Characteristics and Uses: This little round cactus produces a beautiful white flower measuring up to 1.5cm in diameter.  This is followed by pale pink fruits.
